Fry 's Five Centers

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Fry 's Five Centers was a chocolate bar like Fry's Chocolate Cream but it had fruit flavoured cream running through the middle. Each chunk had a different flavour (orange, lemon, lime, strawberry and raspberry) and each flavour was a different colour. It was great fun to guess what colour would be next!

Best chocolate bar ever. I don't know why they had to discontinue these, although I read somewhere that the process to make them was too complicated and it wasn't cost effective. The nearest thing you can get is the orange flavoured frys chocolate bar, and they are pretty difficult to find.

This was delish and not far from the top of my most wanted list. My daughter said that you can buy them in those expensive sweet shops in that London but I dont believe her.

Didn't Fry's also make a bar (I think it was called milk sandwich) which had a layer of plain, a layer of white and a layer of milk chocolate? And not forgetting 'Five Boys', as well!

I remember my mum used to buy these and would always say that they were for adults only, they were quite special in their day. I like having the choice now but the old ones always seem like the best.

Speaking of multiple-filling chocolate bars, who remembers Cadbury's Milk Tray bars? These were a special once-a-week treat for me, and they were lovely, especially the lime filling. The only downside was the coffee one, which was horrible, but fortunately each filling had its own distinctive marking, so I knew which one to avoid, which is not the case with Revels - The coffee ones look identical to the orange, and I have to bite into them to find out which is which, and that can be nasty!

Oh yes, they used to be awesome, like lots of chocolates stuck together in a bar. Like you I used to love the lime barrel.
