This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Five Children and It was one of my favourite TV programmes as a child. It was shown on UK TV in 1991 and featured five children who go down to the beach at their uncle's and become great friends with a Psammead (sand monster) who grants them all wishes. It was totally magical for me!

    great show, I was considering going to the new film but why spoil the memories realy

    Ive still got a video of this, i always wanted a psammead who could grant me wishes, my favourite was when they wished they could fly.

    In one of the episodes they travelled into the future, and went to my local supermarket! It was very exciting. I loved the programme - the Psammead was a hairy little puppet, and rather petulant as I remember, he sulked when the children didn't come to visit him.
