Toys TOYS

Dream Dancer

It took me FOREVER to find a Dream Dancer on the web! Dream Dancer was one of my favourite toys. She would stand on a pedestal and had buttons on the plastic base that would make her twirl, pirouette etc. She had what my dad called a 'bum' leg because her left leg in the picture actually had a movable joint which allowed her to do the twirls. I used to take her off the stand and play Barbies with her. Man, did Ken ever like her!

I didn't have the doll, but I *did* have the commercial on a tape. And that said commercial had been jammed in my brain for like 15 years. I considered it my "Holy Grail" when I started collecting 80's commercials (and yes, I eventually found the darn commercial, and I bought the doll on Ebay, she pops up there every now and again) Unfortunately, you can't really find much information on her on the Internet. Believe me, I've looked!

Where did you find one? I am looking for one for my sister for christmas. It was her favorite christmas present when she was 3, it was the only thing she would open or play with for months. I would love to find one to buy

Hey there! I can't believe you have a picture of Dream Dancer! I had this given to me by my mum n dad for my birthday, I soooo wanted to be a ballerina. What I remember most about the toy was the noise it made when it spun round, also the very strong point shoe she was standing on! Wow! Great times!
