Comrade Dad

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Comrade Dad was a hilarious but very dated 1980s BBC comedy about life in "Londongrad" under Soviet occupation.

With George Cole in the lead role, I think this began as a regional ITV show on the Thames network, which was then shown in the small hours on Central in 1985 which was when I watched it. It took a wry look at life under the Soviet system, although was not as overtly Commie-bashing and nasty as 'Struggle', which aired a year or so early. I only saw about an episode and a half of it.
