Birds Eye Hungry Joes

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Birds Eye Hungry Joes were made in the same shape as fishcakes but were made from grated potato and onion covered with breadcrumbs. They were so tasty, anyone else remember them?

I Remember Hungry Joes! I grew up in a Pakistani household and was limited in what we could eat from the freezer section in the supermarket. My mum used to buy these and it was such a treat. Happy days. M. Marriott

I used to make burgers with them. I would get jumbo burgers and Genesis round sodas and 1 hungry joe which I grilled and sliced in half to make two thinner joes. Absolutely top filler.

Urgghhh! I have bad memories of Hungry Joes! I've been veggie since I was 15 (11 years now.... I'm sooo old!) and my Grandparents used to give me Hungry Joes for dinner every time I went round there cuz they didn't have any other veggie stuff (apart from Fish cakes... which I don't eat either!) So for years I was stuck eating boring potatoe Hungry Joes..... they are so boring and taste of nothing. I think I must have eaten my fill of them in the first couple of years of being a vegetarian, as I hate hash browns/potatoe cakes now!*
