This was a children's BBC television drama about a London schoolgirl who has a pretty grim home-life as her single mother is shacked up with a miserable boyfriend who has no time for his step-daughter. She enjoys drama classes at her school and has the potential to be a good actress. She tricks her way into a touring production of a Whodunit? play with a group of actors whilst her distraught mother calls in the police thinking she has been abducted. This was set around 1981 and the quality of acting/production was very good.
