240-Robert

American drama series starring Mark Harmon (Dwayne "Thib" Thibideax), John Bennett Perry (Deputy Theodore Roosevelt "Trap" Applegate III, who was Matthew Perry's father in real life) and Joanna Cassidy (Deputy Morgan Wainwright),

Based on a real life unit of an LA County Sheriff's Department Emergency Services detail (LASD). The series ran for 16 episodes airing between 1979-1981 on ABC and was pulled for poor ratings.

The title "240-Robert" was the call sign/unit designation for the Ford Bronco (240-Robert-2) and the helicopter (240-Robert-Air). The series had a feel of CHiPs which was way too cool for school.
