Treasure Chest

Treasure Chest wasn't really a comic like Dandy or Beano - it was much too intellectual for that!

It was educational, explaining the world around us through pictures and simple stories. There were articles about all kinds of things. I remember a fascinating article about the assassination of JFK. I read it over and over. You could buy binders to keep your copies of Treasure Chest in good condition. I haven't seen it for years so I assume it's no longer published. I had it in the 60's.

Actually it was 'Treasure' I was commenting on. I never wrote 'Treasure Chest' - the DYR team must have written that for me! I never heard of Treasure chest. I remember World of Wonder, but never took it. They were great mags.

There was a very similar children's magazine called 'Treasure'- I wonder if it went on to become this? I have some old copies dating from the end of '63 through to early '68- excellent stuff. Treasure merged with World of Wonder in '69.
