Three's Company was an American sitcom starring the late John Ritter as Jack Tripper. I think it was meant to be an American version of 'Robin's Nest'.
It was shown in the UK in the late 80's/90's on ITV but was produced in the US in 1977. It even had the Ropers and a character called Christmas 'Chrissy' Snow.
