The Outer Limits

"There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical."

Thus started the iconic TV sci-fi programme "The Outer Limits", spoken by a stern man, as the morse-code inspired theme tune ran underneath. What an amazing intro! I was hooked immediately.

The programme was originally aired in America on ABC from 1963 to 1965 and is a little like The Twilight Zone except with more science fiction than fantasy stories,

As with all good series it was rebooted in the 1990's when they ran out of original ideas, airing on the channel "Showtime" from 1995–1999, then on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1999 until its cancellation in 2002.

All 49 episodes of the original series are available on Hulu.
