The Karate Kid (1984)

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

The Karate Kid would be one of the quintessential movies of any kid growing up in the 80's. Who could forget Pat Morita's Mr. Miyagi and his wise words: "Wax on, wax off"?

Ralph Mocchio played the titular character and was taught by the sage Mr. Miyagi how to stand up for himself. Great inspirational flick as well as classic 80's fare.

this was the film which made me start Karate. Although I got a little disheartened by not making it to black belt in 1 hour 45 minutes by cleaning cars and painting fences.
