Pound Purries

I had a black Pound Purrie with two little kittens - a white one and a ginger one. I also had some Pound Puppies and I remember I played with them all together. I can't remember what I called my Pound Purrie but I still have her and the kittens. They were made by Hornby who later sold the licence for the toys to someone else, Galoob I think. I always loved my original Hornby Pound Purries the best though!

I remember the Pound Purry I had - she was white with a tan-coloured tail. I don't remember her proper name, but I called her Smudge. On my way to school there was a house (obviously, LOL), but they'd got a new kitten and called it Smudge. I think it was a tabby though. Anway, everyday on the way to school, I used to pet Smudge. Until one day I found out Smudge had died after being run over. At about the same time, my Mum got me my Pound Purry - which I named after Smudge. I don't remember what happened to her though.

I have had a pound purry (called Tubby - a grey and black one) for the last 17 years. New eyes but still the same old body but as well loved as he always has been.

I have really good memories of my pound purrie - mittens. I got her when I was 3 years old for christmas. She's not your typical pound purrie either, she's traveled all over the US with me, and was even in the hospital with me when I was 8. She's a grey furred cat with white paws, and long furry cheeks. You can tell this cat was well loved, I plan to pass her down to my daughter one day.
