P J Sparkles

P J Sparkles was a cute little doll made by Mattel in the late 80s who sparkled when hugged thanks to a 9v battery in her back.

P J SParkles had little lights in her bracelet, hair bow, earrings and a little heart on her chest.

If you don't remember the doll, you might remember the advert:

#P J Sparkles, shine a light on me. Shine! Shine! Shine! When I give you a hug, you light up with love. And all through the night, when I'm holding you tight.#

Here comes P J Sparkles, she's lighting up the sky!

She was my favourite! I still have her to this day, she is missing one arm but still lights up with batteries. I loved that she could wear her dress in the day and at night too! OH, and the sparkles in her hair, I got annoyed with those cause everytime I'd try brush her fringe they're get in the way and ended up going astray. I still think she is one of the best childhood dolls any girl could've asked for. :)

I loved my P.J. Sparkles doll and her little sister Baby Sparkles. The story of them being orphans is so sad. I wish I could have had P.J.'s horse, Blaze, too. I loved the song for the ad: "P.J. Sparkles, shine a light on me." I think that is my favorite song ever! The best part about P.J. is her hair. I loved styling it. She's sooooooooo cute!!!!! I love you P.J.

I FEEL SO SAD RIGHT NOW. ONE DAY I WOKE UP AND MY MOM HAD SEND ME THIS OLD BOOK OF TOY OF THE 80'S AND THEN I REMEMBER MY PJ SPARKLE. I STARTED TO CRY, SO I WENT A GOT AFTER A FEW MONTHS A TICKET BACK TO MY COUNTRY TO LOOK IN MY OLD ROOM TO SEE IF I STILL HAD HER, BUT SHE WASNT THERE. I WAS SO MAD AT MYSELF, THIS WAS THE BEST PRESENT I EVER HAD FOR CHRISTMAS AND I LOST IT. NOW I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR HER ONLINE BUT EVERY WHERE I GO EITHER THEY ARE NOT SELLING HER OR SHE IS IN BAD SHAPE...:(

That doll, wow, like I thought that she probably no longer existed . gee, she was my favorite doll ever, and still is as a childhood memory. infact I loved her so much that I went through three of her, and two of the movie, I sure wish I had saved my absolute favorites out of my toys, but then you wear them as if a friend and then they fall apart and you simply grow out of it. but I would love to have a doll and a movie as something I could share with my kids about my childhood
