Nick Cave

Nick Cave is one of the most original and profound singer-songwriters of the last 20 years. He was originally in Australian post punk band, The Birthday Party, and then launched a solo career in the mid-1980s with a series of dark, harrowing albums filled with tales of death, despair, murder and obsessive love.

Nick Cave has written music for and appeared in several motion pictures, as well as appearing on albums by Johnny Cash (whom Cave's singing style bears a resemblance to) and Marianne Faithfull.

I thought he was weirdly sexy. I really liked that song he did in the 90s with Kylie Minogue. I think it was called "Wild Rose". The video was a bit creepy though. Was she supposed to be dead in it?
