Marilyn

Marilyn was a singer who was around same time as Boy George. His biggest hit was 'Calling Your Name', but had success also with 'You Don't Love Me' and 'Cry And Be Free'. As the name suggests, his main idol and life influence was Marilyn Monroe, so he wore his hair long and blonde and also dressed as a female. As a consequence, Marilyn had a huge gay following.

He was part of the British New Romantics movement of music in the 70s and 80s, alongside artists such as Spandau Ballet and Visage. He was also one of the many artists that took part in 1984's charity hit, 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' for Band Aid.
