Actors and actresses ACTORS

Joan Cusack

I think poor Joan Cusack's a bit underrated as an actress, probably because she's not conventionally good looking enough to play leading lady roles but she's been in loads of movies over the years. She played Melanie Griffith's best mate in Working Girl and my mum and I laugh at her 80s fashions - really big hair and earrings and that horrible two-tone eyeshadow!

At one point in the film Melanie Griffith's character puts on a dress and Joan Cusack's character says "It needs some bows or sumthin' !" in a strong Brooklyn accent.

I liked that film a lot when I was a kid. It says a lot now about corporate greed in the 80s and yuppiedom. It's also weird (as with so many films) seeing the World Trade Centre in the movie.

I think Joan Cusack is an exceptionally gifted actor. And I have to disagree with Michael Johnson's article. I think she is extremely attractive and has nothing to do with her inability to get leading roles. I think maybe she would do better if she had better management perhaps. She needs to be offered the right role in the right movie...that's all it takes when you have talent like she has.

she was on television a few weeks ago, in the Addams Family movie, 'Family Values' I think was the title. She played Uncle Fester's scheming wife. She really is an underrated performer. Does comedy so well.

I was in a movie with her - and Jessica Lange and Chris O'Donnell. It was titled "Men Don't Leave". I was an extra, Ms. Lange was involved in the shots, but I didn't see Joan until the movie was released. So i guess it's not really a Joan Cusack memory, is it?
