Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin, an eight year old boy who is accidentally left behind when his large family hurriedly fly over to France for Christmas. Initially Kevin enjoys the freedom but then some dim-witted burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) take an interest in the house and it is Kevin's job to protect the house against them.

A classic comedy that propelled Macaulay Culkin to fame (even though he had previously appeared in several films including Uncle Buck).

John Candy appears in the film in a minor role.

    Home Alone 1 & 2 have to be THE best 2 xmas films ever. I was about the same age as Kevin too and i think they're still ace movies. i watch them every year!!!!

    I remember this, 1991 my mum brought me the video and the day I got it, Me and my sister watched it eight times over!!! ha ha I thought it was hilarious, as I was about the same age as Kevin in the film and I thought he was brilliant and I wanted that to happen for me! Not the burgulars obviously. The Second, Third and dreadfully Forth were not as good, especially the Forth I think One Home Alone is enough!!
