Hey Hey It's Saturday

A rubbish Australian variety show hosted by Daryl Summers and a puppet called Ozzie Ostrich. Started in the early 70s and probably still runs today. Each episode ran for 2 hours but they always seemed like they'd never end. They tried to show it across the Tasman in NZ in the 1990s but it didn't really catch on. Not dissimilar to Noel's House Party really.

I hated Daryl. I hated that damn puppet. And I hated that the entire pathetic travesty never seemed to end. Honestly, Saturdays actually became depressing because there was never anything on other than this crap.
