Hector's House

Hector the Dog and Zsazsa the Cat lived in a house together (in France I think) next door to Kiki the Frog. The stories usually revolved around Hector and Zsazsa wandering around the garden while Kiki peered over the wall.

Hector's House was originally a French production which was given a new voiceover in english which explains the mysterious French signposts and title credits saying "le maison de toutou".

Classic '60s stuff - and he was such a grumpy old Hector at times! :)

This was one of my fave kids programmes when I was little, I even had a soft toy that looked a bit like hector, I don't think it was him because he was made out of leather but he had similar ears and that was good enough for me

I've just watched the DVD for this. The mocking bird was up in the willow tree, not in a cage. I don't remember any lawn painting going on!

I was very young, but vividly remember the characters jumping up and down trying to see over the wall. There was a garden full of flowers, really cute cottage, and Hector was always gardening in his blue overalls and straw hat. Childhood bliss!
