Gentle Ben involved a young boy called Mark who was best mates with a big bear called Ben. The late 1960s programme always started with Mark on a big boat thing with his dad whizzing through the swamps! Ben the bear was always being pursued by a nasty villain called Fogg Hanson. The TV series 'Gentle Ben' was produced by Ivan Tors, the same guy behind the popular TV show, 'Flipper'.
