Frank Zappa

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Noted for his crazy songs like "Joe's Garage" crazy but ingenious lyrics that people remembered. Like "Don't you eat no yellow snow" Also named his two kids with ridiculous names.

He's hugely popular in Eastern Europe, and a bust of him has been erected in a public square in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. Frank never hit the Top 40 either here or in the US, the closest he ever got was with 'Valley Girl' in 1982, which got to around no.75 and featured daughter Moon Unit on some of the vocals.

A good friend, Steve (a keen drummer & real Zappa fan) heard about Frank's state of health & sent Mr Z his best wishes on a 'black page' (so cool). Sadly we lost a 'unique maestro' but his music lives on.

Wow...Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Suzie Cream Cheese, Don't eat yellow snow. I used to sit in my oldest sisters room and listen to these songs thinking how cool they were. To this day I haven't eaten yellow snow....Thanks Frank !

4 kids actually - Moon Unit (DOB 28/9/67); Dweezil (DOB 5/9/69); Ahmet (DOB 15/5/74); Diva Muffin (DOB 30/7/79). Nothing weird about those names if you ask me.

I don't think his kid's names are ridiculous at all.
