This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

There was a sweet called the everlasting strip and it was about 12 inches long and about 1 inch wide and very thin and ribbed. What was great was that it did what it said on the packet - it lasted forever (at lest if you just sucked it... very slowly.

    Yes I used to attend the ABC Minors at our local cinema on Saturday mornings in the 1960s and we used to get an Everlasting Strip and a Pouch of sweetie tobacco. I think Barratts made the Everlasting Strip. The latter I bought recently in a shop in the town of Largs in Scotland
