Erasure

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Andy Bell and Vince Clark (formerly of Yazoo and Depech? Mode). Songs included "Sometimes", "Ship Of Fools" and "A Little Respect". Andy was the flamboyant one (with a penchant for red glittery shoes (!) and Vince was the quite one in the background with the synthesizer (and the brains).

Erasure's first three albums ('Wonderland', 'The Circus' and 'The Innocents') made up a large part of the soundtrack to my life in the 80s. I must have driven my mother crazy with endless plays of 'Oh L'Amour', 'Phantom Bride', 'Chains Of Love' and 'Who Needs Love Like That'!

Well what can I say about Erasure? Loved them, they were a big sound of the 1980's for UK teenagers. Poignant lyrics and a great sound to boot. The Innocents Album was one I played over and over again and still do. Yahoo Ha is one of my favourites, an uplifting song (which quite morbidly I want played at my funeral, which hopefully will be a long way off yet)! What a thing to think about eh? In answer to Les, I believe Erasure do have a new album coming out soon.

Erasure were very popular in the Early 90's. I was at college and remember listening to them whilst studying A' levels. They seemed to have disappeared as they havent released anything fo a while.
