E.T. Biscuits

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Around 1982, the year of the release of the huge Spielberg classic E.T., I remember a 3-pack of custard-cream biscuits being launched, dyed in various colours such as blue, green and yellow! Does anyone else remember these?

I remember exactly the feeling of eating one of those biscuits: as if I was somehow a part of the movie because of a green custard cream. Merchandising is the most powerful tool known to man.

I used to love them. I remember once my mum bought a packet of them from International supermarket and they didn't have have cola cream in the centre so she wrote a letter of complaint to Nabisco and my uncle told me that a copy of it would go to Steven Spielberg. I believed him. We got free vouchers for 5 packets though :-)

I love you all!! I have thought id been going mad for years as nobody else remembered them. They had a card inside the pack. They did taste of cola and always a magical smell when you opened the pack (probably the chemicals in the colouring!! There has to be an empty pack somewhere
