Dragon 32

After my faulty VIC-20 was returned, my parents bought me a Dragon 32. That worked but those analogue joysticks that didn't spring back to the centre made playing games a nightmare!

I had a dot matrix printer but no word processor and at the age of eleven I was 'typing' out my dad's invoices but writing programmes to do it:

10 lprint "Dear Sirs"
20 lprint " We thank you...."

Oh the fun days of computing!

Yeh I remember this too as it was my first computer. Dragon 32k. and you had to type CLOAD"" rather than LOAD. I remember the best game for it was a 2 player game. Each person was a wizard and you could choose a spell to cast at the other person (you had to look away when the other person chose theirs). Was great. 10 print "HELLO" 20 goto 10 RUN

I grew up with a Dragon 32, I loved it. It's how I became so interested in videogames at such an early age. One distinct thing I remember about it, was that I found out that all my favourite games on the Dragon 32 were dodgy bootlegs. 'Cuthbert in the Jungle', for example, was just 'Pitfall' with a different title screen.
