Detroit Spinners

Formed in 1955 at Ferndale High School, near Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., and originally known as the Domingos.

Their first gig was linked to the Four Tops, who were also playing at the same venue in 1957, The Four Tops were known as the Four Ames at the time. The group's debut single was 'That's What Girls Are Made For', which reached number 5 in the U.S.

Some of the groups most memorable singles were:

'I'll Be Around' 'Could It Be I'm Falling In Love' (1972) 'One Of A Kind (Love Affair)' 'Mighty Love Part 1' (1973) 'Then Came You', a collaboration with Dionne Warwick 'Working My Way Back To You' 'Forgive Me Girl' (1979)
