Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi Lauper's music career started out with a bang in the 80s and gradually declined over the years. Her first album topped sales of 5 million copies. Perhaps her most famous song was "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" but she is also well-remembered for her quirky dress sense.

Cyndi Lauper released "The Goonies R Good Enough" in 1985 as the soundtrack to the classic 80s film "The Goonies"

Gosh was in 1996 when i finally got to meet her when she opend the vigrin mega music store in san fransico. I was all by myself cuz my friends didn't wanna go with me. Which was cool because i had the best time. Then when i got up there and she started to sign my picture i said to her "this will be my inspiration when i go to art college" and she said "oh really well don't give up on it just keep goin for it" then i shook her had and all i could mumble out was "this is a dream come true" and she looked at me wide eyed "oh ok"...i went home with a smile on my face....but can't believe what i said to her....

I used to put my mother's high heels on and my first lipstick (which happened to be purple)and dance to Cyndi Lauper on the coffee table.I would run around singing "She Bop" totally unaware that the song was about masterbation!Cyndi Lauper was my idol.I grew up and I guess a part of her still lingers in me because I like to dye my hair crazy colors,I've embraced the return of 80's fashion, and still wear purple lipstick time after time.
