Chocky

Chocky was a kids series on ITV in the mid 80's, it concerned a young boy who began to hear voices and see strange visions.

One day in art class he goes into a trance and draws a spectacular landscape of an alien planet. A childlike invisible alien entity from a distant planet has travelled across the galaxy and become attached to the boy, the governement find out and try to capture it.

I remember it being quite intense for a kids program, it was followed by a 2nd series called "Chocky's children".

God, I remember that green freaky light that used to hover above his bed, talking to him. Had nightmares for weeks, loved it though!!!

I found Chocky on youtube when looking for something else and I couldn't believe I had completely forgotten about it for years! I had nightmares that a face would appear in my wall for ages.

Terrifying. Just terrifying. Yes - I seem to remember Chocky (even the name makes a bit nervous!) appearing as a blue light on the wall.

Never saw the TV series, but it was based on the book "Chocky", written by John Wyndham, who also wrote 'Day of the Triffids' and 'The Midwich Cuckoos'

I remember this show. Chocky was like a voice/Ghost that talked to this boy. It starred James Hazledean? Who was in Londons Burning. He used to pop into my family run newsagents from time to time. I used to find it quite scarey.
