Casey

Casey was a 'talking' robot made by Playskool in 1985 that had a built-in tape recorder and digital display for his face. Casey could operate as a standard tape player or could operate in story mode if you flicked a mode switch on his head.

When in story mode you could play special story tapes that came with Casey that would automatically pause at certain points in the story to let you carry out a 'special activity'. You could restart the story when you were ready by pressing his tie (which was a GO button).

Casey's mouth moved and responded to the tape that was being played. The louder the volume, the wider his mouth!

OMG, OMG, OMG! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS ROBOT FOR 20 YEARS. I HAD ONE IN 1988 AND IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER! IT WAS MY BEST FRIEND. MY BROTHER BROKE IT AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER ONE SINCE.

casey was the love of my life. he was magical. He made feel loved, and wanted, he talked to me, when no one else would. His beautiful digital mouth, made me feel nice inside. So in conlusion, when my parents gave him away to my cousin for his birthday, I wanted death. Me and my brother hated life. BUT... in years to come we found that we recovered him in a yard sale that they were having. BUT... now, I have no idea where he is. This is all I remember of casey.. I want him, I NEED HIM, and eBay which says they have everything... May be the place I need to go! ----------------- IamJoshKrady http://www.myspace.com/maggerbee
