Burt Reynolds was a heart throb back in the late 70's til 80's and really was the essence of the 70's macho man complete with extremely hairy chest, big moustache and medallion.
He was the star of a lot of films including the "Smokey and the Bandit" movies, in which he played the bandit, and also "The Longest Yard" (1974). Interestingly , Burt Reynolds also appeared in the 2005 remake of "The Longest Yard", this time starring Adam Sandler. Burt has also recently appeared in the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie which came out in 2005.
