Brimstone

This was a series about a man who killed his wife's attacker and died in the process, who then agreed to a Faustian deal with the Devil (John Glover) to return 113 souls, and every time he did a tattoo would vanish off his skin. Aired only once on Channel 4 and never repeated, it's a forgotten classic remembered by very few such as myself and never released to DVD either, which is a crime in my opinion when you consider the rubbish you can buy quite easily today and takes very little time to be released from initial airing to shop availability. And since not everyone uses credit cards (believe it or not some of us still use cash, what can I say we're a dying breed) getting this quality drama off a web page isn't so easy. There is a virtually endless list of great drama from the 80's and 90's, both American and British covering detective to paranormal and sci-fi which has been forgotten by the 'reality' ridden channels that have ruined TV for good. Open your mind to a forgotten era in entertainment please folks. Yes by today's HD all action mega special effects standards some seem basic, but the stories and characters were more fun and the plots were entertaining with drama and comedy in equal measure. Unplug yourself from the junk of today with no substance and look into the past age of real entertainment in television.
