Blott on the Landscape

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Blott on the Landscape was an irreverent romp based on a clash between governmental departments and the unconvential wife of an authority figure.

Farcical confusion on both sides of a sexual nature and co-operation between the most unlikely of bedfellows made for a serialisation that was addictive. Highly recommended.

The theme tune was as bizarre as the show - one man creating a whole orchestra simply using his voice, lips etc

Always a shame that more of Tom Sharpe's books weren't made into either films or TV series, they had a go at Dangerous Davies by Leslie Thomas, but made an a*se of it. I always hoped for Riotous Assembly to be made, but I think some people might have objected, on the wrong grounds as it in no way supports the ideas of aparthied, rather mocking it instead.
