Black Box

Black Box never really existed as a band; they were a team of three Italian producers who made a series of quite catchy dance records in the early part of the 1990s, when 'Italo House' as the sound was known, was very much in vogue on the club scene. They will always be remembered for their massive hit 'Ride On Time' which (controversially) sampled the vocals of American singer Loleatta Holloway. Apparently she was not happy about it, but it didn't stop the record selling by the bucketload!

Black Box's chart career, as with many dance acts, was short-lived, though they did produce a number of club tunes under various other aliases, including Wood Allen and Rosso Barocco (you'd probably have to have been a club-goer around late 1989 for those names to mean anything to you!).
