Big Bolt Construction Set

The Big Bolt Construction Set had a truck that carried a pump that would pump air to the power tools. There was also an action figure bundled in with the box. This figure could actually hold the tools like the saw, drill, jack hammer. The Big Bolt Construction Set was released by Tomy in 1981. "It's a truck and a crane with lots of tools and an air compressor that operates the drill, jackhammer and saw," explained the box. Although it would have added to the realism of the construction set, the Big Bolt Construction Set box warned that the toy shouldn't be taken anywhere near dirt or sand.

The Big Bolt Construction Set took a little bit of setting up before it could be used, although this added to the excitement. The pack contained all the separate components that clicked together and a sticker sheet to adorn the big truck. For the pump to work two "C" batteries were required.

I have got one upstairs! It is complete but unboxed but the compressor won't workeven with new batteries. I haven't taken it apart to iinvestigate so it is untouched. The only downside is that a clip on the battery compartment was broken in the 1980s by my young son. Is it with anything?
