American Bandstand was the lightning rod for singer's of the late 50's- early 90's. Without Dick Clark "America's Never Aging Teenager" and that show that launched the career's of so many of our favorites, shows today like American Idol, wouldn't exist.
I remember watching Madonna's first appearance on Bandstand, when she made the prediction that she would "Rule the World". I also remember The Cars, Wham!, Duran Duran and other great acts of the 80's!
