Kizzy

This was a modernised TV adaptation of the book The Diddakoi by Rumer Godden, aired in the late-70s on BBC television after school. It was a young traveller girl (then known as gypsies) who, after being orphaned, is adopted by a kind woman in the city, after social services insist that she goes to school etc.

A little remembered, but incredibly heart-warming story. Still unavailable to purchase on DVD, sadly.

I thought i was the only person to remember Kizzy, everyone i've asked just gives a vacant stare. I was beginning to think i dreamt the whole thing up. I loved watching Kizzy, nice to know shes remember by someone else
