Hubbly Bubbly

Does anyone else remember this? It was a small bottle of fruit-flavoured drink - abit like Vimto, I remember I used to be able to buy it whenever we went on holiday to the Isle Of Wight when I was a kid.

Wow, how lovely to read all these memories! Mine are all in the back of my parents car, parked in various pub carparks in the Newbury area of Berkshire while the adults were allowed in to the pub! Offered a refreshment it was always "lime Hubbly Bubbly please". If I was lucky I'd also get a packet of crisps. Lonely days.

I remember it too. It came in many flavours and we drank it at Lower Hyde Caravan Park. The bottles were wicked! Also remember the boating lake at Sandown. Does anyone remember the American Cottage in the American Woods?

I remember Hubbly Bubbly! Used to go to Seaview, Isle of Wight pretty much every year for our holiday and there was a little cafe on the beach which used to sell it. Loved the different flavours and the bubbly bottles. Have been telling my son about it and trying to find a picture but no luck so far. Lovely memories!

Early to mid 1960's as I remember as a child. Bottles with dimples representing bubbles that were the size of your fingertips. I seem to remember the lime flavour being my favourite? Shame I can't find an image of one of those botles!

When I was a small kid in the late 60's we used to have a crate of hubbly bubbly delivered to our house each week. We used to get all different flavours in the disctintive bottles. Maybe it's my memory playing tricks but I'm sure it was different to modern fizzy drinks, almost as if the bubbles were bigger and softer. It was so nice! It never lasted more than a day or so.
