Bread Ties on Brake Wires

Can anyone else remember putting plastic bread clips on their bike brake wires? This was in the early 80s when loaves of bread were tied with little plastic clips rather than the sticky tape you get now. The clips used to come in a variety of colours and could be neatly attached to the brake wires. If you got enough you could make a huge rainbow effect with them. All my friends at the time used to do this.
