Pod shoes
Pod shoes : When I was a kid, Pod shoes were the in thing at school. They came in all different colours - I think yellow, blue and red were the most popular - and they were like Clark's and Startrite sensible buckle shoes but were some how 'cool' because they had a pod sign on the back. They also came with a leather 'pod man' attached that was the same colour as the shoes, but we always swapped these amongst ourselves so we had a different colour. I loved mine and I'm sure Pod are missing a retro trick not bringing them back. I'd buy another pair now if I could. Anyone else remember them?

Everytime I think of headbands in the 80's I think of Latoya Jackson in the video for "we are the world" she wore a bright yellow one that matched her clothes. Matching was a must in the 80's!

oh yes remember pods i had a blue pair,lased me months and were real fashionable at the time n dead dead comfy,i agree they would do well with a come back

I found this site via a google search for 80's Pod shoes, they were soooooo comfy, i had bout 3 pairs varying colurs, I want more!!!! c'mon Pod bring em back!

Oh Oh! I had a couple of pairs, the later ones had like a leather sole that was deadly in the wet! I also made the mistake of wearing them to my sisters wedding wearing a brown suit!. She's still never forgiven me and i'm buried at the back in the wedding photo's! Lychees8

I've been trying to track a pair of retro pods down for years. I had them for school shoes in the late 80's grey with two buckles and a white pod man. Wore them out, would love them to be brought back, original design not like the 'new' beetle, mini or fiat 500.
Is there a campaign to bring them back? If not there should be...

Hi everyone, sorry for lack of posts. The Pod Heritage re-launch is now. We've re-launched the original Pod shoes starting with the Pin-Punch design. Next year we'll be re-launching the Quilted shoe. The collection is available at www.podheritage.co.uk
We have developed the ladies' sandals and we do have some samples...however they haven't yet made it to production, perhaps when the re-launch develops they'll make it into the shops!
We will also be holding a secret sample sale online in the next week where we will have a few pairs of the ladies' samples (size 37).
