Ask The Family

Ask The Family : Two quite posh families going up against each other in a very slow moving quiz. "Father and oldest child" round questions always much harder than "mother and youngest child" round I seem to remember...

The original fiendishly difficult puzzle, invented by Erno Rubik in Hungary and one of the biggest toy crazes ever. In 1982 Hawkin's Bazaar was the first to bring a few cases of the Rubik's Cube to England. Unfortunately 25 years ago we were very small and it wasn't long before a much larger company had the exclusive rights to distribute in the UK. We are very pleased to be offering it again! And now includes a new seven step solution guide.

Within These walls

Within These walls

Within These Walls is a British drama series shown on ITV between 1974 and 1978. It was something of a precursor to the likes of Prisoner Cell Block H and Bad Girls. It was based around the lives of prison staff (rather than the prisoners) at the fictional prison, HMP Stonepark. The lead character of Within These Walls was the well-groomed governor Faye Boswell (Googie Withers). She was mainly reoccupied with liberalising the prison regime as well as her personal life. Another prominent character was her deputy, Mrs. Armitage (Mona Bruce). Another successful actress from this series was Helen Worth, now widely known for her role of Gail Platt on Coronation Street.
