Working Girl

Working Girl is possibly the only film where Melanie Griffith is remotely bearable. This rags-to-riches tale tells the story of a secretary who ditches her no-good boyfriend and her big hair and ends up bagging Harrison Ford and a corner office. Sigourney Weaver plays the uberbitch boss she outmanoeuvres and the fabulous Joan Cusack plays her even bigger-haired best friend.

Working Girl does have its moments, but most of them consist of laughing at the clothes. Surprisingly though, the film was a very big hit.

Another Favourite of mine, The underdog wins through again. I also love the song at the end - but never found out who sung it!
