Cheerleader Books and Sweet Valley High

Cheerleader books and Sweet Valley High books were both American series of teenage books that seemed really rude at the time. Cheerleaders had yellow covers and followed the lives of a group of all american cheerleaders (obviously) through the ups and downs of puberty and young love. Sweet valley high was a series about 2 twin girls called Elizabeth and Jessica and all their posh mates who always had gorgeous boyfriends and loads of exciting things happening to them. I wanted to be them!

I collected most of the Sweet Valley Twins books, and some of the SVH books. Had grown out of them way before the tv series came out in the 90's.

Think there was a Sweet Valley Kids aimed at younger children, then Sweet Valley Twins (when they were about 12) and Sweet Valley High (as you can guess - high school age). The TV series that was on in the 90s was based on the book. These books were really poular when i was 12/13 and even the boys were reading them (strangely)!
