Tears For Fears

In my opinion, Tears for Fears were more than just your average synthesizer band to come out of the 80's. Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith took their name from Arthur Janov's primal scream therapy work. They will probably be best known for hits such as the fantastic "Mad World" (one of the best songs ever written - Roland was just 19 when he wrote this song) "Shout", "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Sowing the Seeds of Love". They recently got back together after a messy split and there album Everybody Loves A Happy Ending is a truly amazing return to form. They are brilliant live and are definatley my favourite band ever as they provide us with such emotional and heart wrenching songs. Roland is still as sexy as ever ;)

Another gr8 part of the 80s.My ex got free tickets to a gig & never took me (hence the ex). My dear hubby recalls queuing to see a Rap review (Grandmaster Flash et al) & he swears Curt Smith tried to nab his ticket!

Saw Tears for Fears many years ago at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a great night. Still absolutely love "Songs from the Big Chair" -it was one of the first CDs I ever bought.

Tears for Fears is the epitome of 80s bands. I went to alot of concerts. In '85 they played 5 nights in Toronto and were amazing. I saw them 2x in 2 months on The Seeds of Love tour in '89 and 2 more times without Curt in the 90s. They didn't tour canada extensivly on the reunion tour so I missed them. maybe nextime. Welcome to your life...
