Robert Palmer

Born in 1949, singer Robert Palmer was a former member of rock band Vinegar Joe, along with Elkie Brooks. He had several solo hits in the UK, including the 1986 top 10 hits "Addicted to Love" and "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On".

Many people will remember those Robert Palmer videos, where an all girl band shimmied away behind him. Robert also sang with the band Power Station, whose biggest UK hit was "Some Like it Hot" in 1985.

Sadly, Robert Palmer passed away on 26th September 2003.
