Eurythmics

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Eurythmics were an electro-pop sensation throughout the eighties featuring Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox.

They had a string of hits including "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "Here Comes the Rain Again" before the pair split in the early nineties to pursue solo careers.

They made a critical break from their electro-pop origins in '85 with the album 'Be Yourself Tonight', the opening track 'Would I Lie To You' being definitely hard rock & roll, and the rest of the album being much more eclectic. The same applied to the follow-up album 'Revenge'. Dave Stewart married Bananarama front-girl Siobhan Fahey, who left her own band to form 'Shakespeare's Sister'.

Went to a fantastic gig in the 80s. (Possibly New Year's Eve, or near then). There were pukka Scottish pipers who came on stage & played Auld Lang Syne. Brilliant!!
