SSP Racers

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

SSP Racers were made by Kenner and were very cool! The racers had a flywheel in them that you powered up with the plastic zip cord (don't stick your finger in there, ouch!). I had the smash up derby set and had great fun destroying them!

My uncle Roy Campbell was a designer for Kenner toys and was credited with the invention of the SSP Racers and he gave me one for Christmas the first year that they came out

I remember that the plastic was super tough and if you put one in your sister's hair while running it took a hour to get it free.
