Space Invaders
Space Invaders :
Row upon row of nasty aliens marched across the screen firing their weapons at you in this arcade classic. The idea of Space Invaders was to shoot the aliens out of the sky whilst dodging their bullets and hiding behind some knid of basic shelters.
Gradually the shelters eroded from the continual assault and the aliens marched nearer and nearer to the earth. And is if that wasn't enough the aliens began to move faster and faster making them extremely difficult to pick off.

The original fiendishly difficult puzzle,
now with solution guide
The original fiendishly difficult puzzle, invented by Erno Rubik in Hungary and one of the biggest toy crazes ever. In 1982 Hawkin's Bazaar was the first to bring a few cases of the Rubik's Cube to England. Unfortunately 25 years ago we were very small and it wasn't long before a much larger company had the exclusive rights to distribute in the UK. We are very pleased to be offering it again! And now includes a new seven step solution guide.

Also remembered...

My older sister, Robin (she will get a kick out of this) had an orange fold-out two screen Donkey Kong game that she used as currency in order to get me to do her jobs around the house. I wish my incentives today gave me half as much enthusiasm. I sure that lots of us still have one tucked away somewhere. Simple, reliable and from an era before technology became a pain in the butt.

This was the game that every girl hated. She could guarantee to be drinking her martini in the pub alone whilst her fella and mates played this insane game!

Space Invaders - ah, where to start?! I remember first seeing a cabinet in the Noblehill Cafe in Dumfries back in 78 or 79 and I tells ye, it was like witnessing something really profound and that. Suffice to say I was hooked on it and video games ever since.

I've never played the REAL Space Invaders. However, I did play TI Invaders on the TI99 4A. As far as I know, it was a very similar to Space Invaders. From the description, it sounds like it could be talking about TI Invaders.
