Depeche Mode

80s electro-pop band formed by Vince Clarke of Yazz, Erasure and Alison Moyet fame. The music was exclusively performed on synthesisers with vocals and had a dark and dramatic sound.

Some of their best hits included "Just Can't Get Enough", "People Are People" and "Strangelove".

Brilliant live (saw them in early 80s). Was chuffed when my brother started dating a girl from Basildon (also rated Alison Moyet!)

I met the band before they were really famous and used to watch them play at the Bridgehouse in Lodon they were and still are an amazing band!

these fellas went to my school [they was a few years ahead of me] and i was on the telly with them , i remember our school had taken us to the local commuity centre to see them as they were there doing a recording for jim'll fix it for some girl to meet them, and anglia tv were there to film it all and we got asked to sit on there laps for the filming for the news
