Take That

Take That : Teen pop band of the 90s with a massive (mainly female) following. An unashamedly manufactured band that nevertheless turned out some reasonable music such as "It Only Takes a Minute" and "How Deep is Your Love".

After the band split in 1995 Robbie Williams went on to become an extremely successful solo artist. Some of his other band members also went solo but didn't achieve the same success.

If it hadn't been for Take That, I don't think I'd have the wide taste in music I do now. Because I was always watching EVERY tv programme they appeared on I got to know other music. One of my earliest memories was being lucky enough to get tickets to see them on their Everything Changes Tour in 1993. It was absolutely brilliant and as my first concert ever, it was certainly the most memorable. No matter what anyone says about Take That, you can't deny they put on an absolutely brilliant performance live. The ideas they came up with for each of their concerts has spurned many copycat performances from today's artists. They may not have made it in the USA, but as far as british music goes, I think it will be a long time before the UK have a boyband that even comes close to rivalling Take That. Sadly missed!xx

I was a huge take that fan. I loved Robbie. I was gutted when he left. I loved all their songs. I am quite happy they are back.

Take That are the best boyband of all time. I loved all of their songs. My favourite song is Could it be magic. I always sing it on karaoke
