I Vant To Bite Your Finger

I was given this board game as a small child, probably age 8 or 9. It's quite hard to explain, so bear with me... It's basically a board game with a big vampire at one end. You roll a dice and have to turn the clock attached to the vampire up to however many clicks the dice says. (If you roll a 5, you could turn the clock 1,2,3,4 or 5 times.) If you're unlucky, the vampire will "wake up" (his cape swings open,) and you have to put your finger in his mouth and he will bite you. ACTUALLY bite you. Kids these days have all these soppy board games. Games in the 80s were ACE! I was routinely bitten by a vampire 6 or 7 times a day when I was young and it never did me any harm....

Ha! Those two little red dots on your finger after being ‘bitten’. I loved this game but it always scared the crap out of me and made me jump.

I had never heard of this game, until my boyfriend who is ten years older than me mentioned it. He said he'd always wanted it as a kid but never got it. Ive decided to try and buy him one, and after much research I have to say I now want a go too!! But I cant seem to purchase one anywhere. Can anyone help? xx

All I wanted the year I was five was I Vant to Bite Your Finger. I stopped Christmas when I opened it and made everyone play it. When it came to be my turn I was so scared I locked myself in my bedroom and wouldn't come out until the game was gone. Now, 23 years later I got the courage to try again when my sister found it for me. What a great game and classic family memory! I'm just glad to hear I wasn't the only one scared to death!

I got this one Christmas when I was about six and was absolutely petrified of it. It took me about a week to pluck up the courage to actually put my finger in its mouth. I remember the ink running out and having to use red felt tip pen on its teeth to make it work.

I remembered the expression "I vant to Bite Your Finger", but never knew where it was from... must have been well advertised perhaps? Anyway, thanks for letting me know, after all these years, where those words came from!

Nobody I know remembers this game except my sister and cousin. When I was young I only wanted to go to my cousins house to play the game. I eventually broke Dracula from using is so much!!!
